Experiencing poor sleep?
Do any of these sound familiar? Then CBT–I and sleep coaching may be for you.
Lying in bed awake for long periods of time
Regularly waking up and can’t get back to sleep?
Depend on naps, caffeine, or sugar to cope?
feeling foggy, irritable, or on edge most mornings?
Do you start worrying about sleep long before bed?
Does your mind race with thoughts when you try to fall asleep?
Why sleep matters.
Sleep is your body and brain’s reset time. While you sleep, your brain organizes the day, your hormones rebalance, and your nervous system calms down.
When we don’t sleep well, it can lead to low mood, irritability, brain fog, cravings, and trouble focusing at work. Good sleep is as important as food and movement for your health, energy, and relationships.
Sleep coaching and CBT-I
Sleep coaching is a guided process that helps you change the habits, thoughts, and routines that keep you stuck in poor sleep. Instead of guessing on your own, we will discuss the issues you are experiencing and work out a plan that suits you and your needs.
CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia) is a proven, structured approach for treating ongoing sleep problems. CBT-I focuses on restructuring the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that are contributing to insomnia or poor sleep.
Therapy techniques involve stimulus control, sleep restriction, and relaxation training.
Together, we turn these tools into a plan that fits your life. Through sleep coaching build a sleep routine that is realistic for you—not a one-size-fits-all program.
Professional Journey
My name is Joe and I have been working in mental health and wellbeing for over a decade. Starting as a health care assistant before becoming a mental health nurse where I worked supporting clients with sever and enduring mental health challenges.
Currently I work in higher education as a mental health advisor providing students with psychoeducation, self help tools, liaising with specialists and being a non judgmental and nurturing support to guide them through their challenges.
To complement my mental health qualifications i trained as a qualified personal trainer focusing on exercise to support people’s wellbeing.
Throughout my career in mental health i have observed the importance of sleep in maintaining both physical and mental health and how it is often the first pillar of wellbeing to become affected, leading to a cascade of implications on an individuals wellbeing.
